Alex Bond is a regulatory, legal and government affairs professional based around Washington, D.C. with over 15 years of experience on a wide array of utility, environmental, mining and legal issues, and the attendant network to match. He is highly-skilled at coalition building and regulatory/legislative advocacy and engagement.
Most recently, he has served as the Executive Director of Legal & Clean Energy Policy at the Edison Electric Institute, where he was primarily responsible for their Environment department, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) team, clean technology deployment issues, and Institute-wide legal support. Alex also led EEI’s strategic engagement on climate issues with federal regulatory agencies, Congress and the States across several roles at EEI over the last decade.
Before joining EEI, Alex worked in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of General Counsel, the National Mining Association, and began his career at the Ozone Transport Commission representing the Northeastern states.
